Lappert's Hawaii offers a wide variety of ice cream flavors in cone or cup. Lappert's is located in the Shops at Kukui'ula shopping center next to the Poipu traffic circle. Another Lappert's is found in Hanapepe. The Kukui'ula location is popular and can be busy.

Riptides Shave Ice and Snacks sits across the road frpm Lawa'i Beach. They offer 25 traditional flavors of shave ice along with hand-crafted organic magical flavors. In addition, they have a selection of snacks and drinks. Riptides has a steady flow of beach customers.

These popular food establishments have great menus and loyal followings, but they offer no seating. Take your food and enjoy at home or at a nearby beach or park.
Puka Dog at Poipu Beach serves its famous Puka Dogs. Choose from a Polish sausage or a veggie dog and your favorite sauces and condiments. The restaurant is adjacent to Brennecke's Beach Broiler. Even though the line at Puka Dog may be somewhat long, it moves along and the food is worth the wait.
2100 Hoone Road, Poipu Beach Park, Koloa
Da Crack Mexican Grinds is a favorite with locals and visitors alike. Located along Poipu Road in a small strip mall, they prepare popular Mexican menu items such as burritos, tacos, and various sides. Many prefer to order online and avoid the line that often forms during popular meal times.

Koloa Fish Market is another place that has gained popularity because of its wonderful food. They offer fresh, local fish, poke, and plate lunches. The market is open from 10 AM to 3 PM (closed Sunday and Thursday). As the lunch hour approaches, the line begins to form, so many patrons arrive early or call ahead to place their orders. Food trucks are a popular choice for quick and delicious meals all around Koloa.
As you come down Maluhia Road into Koloa from the north, you spot an array of food trucks adjacent to a small park on your right. Among your choices are Dim 'N' Den Sum, Naruto Noodles, BEHL’s Asian Flavors, Taco Libre, and Kickshaws. Picnic tables are nearby and a grassy park area gives children room to run around.
Weliweli Road Food Trucks
Over on Weliweli Road a block or so from the center of town are several more food trucks. Among them are Craving Thai Food Truck, Big Monster Sushi Food Truck, and Chalupa's Meaxican Restaurant Food Truck. Picnic tables are nearby.
Musubi Food Truck
The Musubi Truck Koloa on Poipu Road features a long-time Hawaiian favorite - SPAM musabi. In addition they offer ahi katsu, poke bowls, miso chicken musubi, and more. The truck is tucked back from the road, making it a quiet place to dine. Picnic tables arranged in a pleasant, garden setting are available.

Anattas Thai Food
Anattas Thai Food on Poipu Road has been serving authentic Thai food on Kaua'i since 2010. They have two other locations - Lihue and Kapa'a. Among the popular items on their menu are Pad Thai, Red Curry, and veggie Spring Rolls.

Holoholo Grill
The Holoholo Grill in the Koloa Landing Resort features relaxing, open air seating, the main section under a roof and the other tables on a patio with shade umbrellas. Adjacent to the restaurant is the resort pool, an award winning design with cascading waterfalls and surrounded by tropical plants and palm trees. The breakfast menu has favorites like banana macadamia nut pancakes and loco moco. The lunch menu includes many sandwiches and burgers along with poke bowls and fish tacos. For dinner they feature a Kauai Poke Bowl by renowned Chef Sam Choy, filet mignon, and short ribs. Hawaiian locals with ID get a 10% discount.

Brennecke's Beach Broiler
The Brennecke's Beach Broiler sits directly across the road from Poipu Park and Beach. With its second floor, open-air dining room offering views overlooking Poipu Beach Park and the ocean, Brennecke's has long been a favorite of visitors and locals alike. Enjoy delicious lunches and dinners, and stop by for happy hour specials. On the menu find seafood, pasta, steak and pupu platters. Brennecke's Beachside Deli serves sandwiches, snacks, refreshing drinks, and, of course, shave ice.

The Tasting Room
The The Tasting Room in Koloa is a restaurant and wine bar. Their goal was to "create a restaurant and wine bar that was comfortable for both the wine enthusiast, as well as the novice." Enjoy entrees such as pesto broiled mahi mahi, chicken barabella, and Moroccan spiced lamb rack. Pair your meal with a wine from their extensive list of wines from Sonoma to France. Their bar includes an excellent choice of spirits and beer.

Kauai Island Brewing Co.
The Kauai Island Brewing Co. is in the new Koloa Village Shopping Center. Open from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the Brewing Co. serves pizza, wagyu, burgers, fries, salads, and more. They offer both indoor and covered outdoor seating. Friendly employees add to the pleasure of dining here. Visit their sister Brewery in Port Allen.

Kalapaki Joe's Poipu
Kalapaki Joe's Poipu advertises itself as the Westernmost Sports Bar in the US. They are open most days for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are known for their great service and food along with an affordable happy hour. Live Hawaiian music entertains patrons.

Kalaheo Cafe
Kalaheo Cafe & Coffee Company sits along Highway 50 at the eastern end of Kalaheo. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the Cafe draws a steady stream of customers who enjoy their friendly service, delicious menu items, and generous portions. Breakfast fare includes specialty items such as house baked cinnamon bread French toast. Lunch diners choose from burgers and salads, sandwiches, grilled or from the deli. At dinner are favorites like New York Steak or seared fresh catch.

The Anuenue Cafe in Poipu Shopping Village is a popular breakfast stop. They are known for excellent service and tasty food. Customers rave about their varieties of French toast and their kalua pork fried rice. Seating is limited, but you can take your food with you and find a nearby bench in the shopping village.

Beach House
The Beach House is among the favorites in the Poipu area for diners who are looking for a restaurant offering an upscale menu with a congenial ambiance. Beach House menu items are locally sourced whenever possible, including fish from island fishermen and beef and coffee from nearby ranches. Enjoy selections such as fish and lobster pasta, filet mignon, or macadamia nut crusted fresh Hawaiian fish. Tables by the windows at sunset are popular. Reservations are recommended.

Keoki's Paradise in the Poipu Shopping Village is another favorite destination for a special lunch or dinner. The soaring, open-beam ceiling, an abundance of lush tropical plants, and their varied dining areas give Keoki's Paradise an ambiance unmatched in the Poipu area. Dinner menu choices include prime rib, wild mushroom and spinach ravioli, and kalo crusted ahi. A favorite desert at Keoki's Paradise is their Hula Pie, made with macadamia nut ice cream stacked high on a delicious chocolate cookie crust with a layer of chocolate fudge poured over the top. Perched on the second floor, the open air restaurant affords great views of the ocean sunsets. Reservations are recommended.

RumFire Poipu Beach in the Sheraton Kaua'i Resort features panoramic views of the ocean from every seat. RumFire's menu serves a locally sourced cuisine with entrees such as Tomahawk (a bone-in ribeye), New York steak, crab crusted fresh catch, and a half rack of lamb. Their bar offers the best selection of rum found on Kawa'i along with a complete wine, cocktail, and beer list.
